Qualifications

The admission requirement is a passed Master's degree from a Danish or foreign music conservatory or equivalent qualifications, as well as

  • Project
  • Concert
  • Interview

Entrance exam/project

Project description:

Together with the application the applicant submits a project description (in electronic form) containing:

  • A statement accounting for the creative project (approx. 1 page)
  • A plan for how the study time is planned, including plans for the semi-annually concerts
  • A sketch of form and content of the debut concert.
  • Classical applicants must also state the repertoire that will be studied

Concert:

The applicant presents a repertoire of own compositions lasting 35-40 minutes in effective play time. Emphasis is put on artistic, compositional and technical skills as well as musical communication.

Interview:

The concert ends with an interview in which the applicant elaborates partly on his motivation to apply for admission to the soloist program and partly presents the aforementioned project description.
